Camp
10 Ski n Snowboard invites you to discover us! (Or rediscover us and the many changes we've made)
|
|
|
Here comes winter 10/11. Our eighth winter since the reopening and hundreds of new skiers
and boarders have discovered us! Camp 10 operates under a very simple business plan – if
we take care of our customers they’ll take care of us. We’re doing it and it works.
Besides great skiing and boarding we jazz things up with some awesome scenery. It’s not
at all unusual to have our guests pause on the slopes to watch Eagles overhead.

|
And we keep working to make things even better. The big push in this years off season
was grooming equipment, snowmaking equipment, adding an additional
snowmaking pipe line, expanding the rental section of our rental
fleet, and adding some more gizmos to the terrain park. Four more Waterstick
mobile snowmakers plus 4 relocated fixed snowmakers gives more utilization
of the recently tripled snowmaking pump capacity. It amounted to a lot of off-season work but its all part of our ISO9000 Continuous Improvement program. The night skiing/boarding has been expanded from our Jan Rail Jam to four additional nights in January ( four Thursday nights plus Jan 1st) The Terrain Park continues to progress as we have work underway on more rails and fun boxes. We’ll also be doing more work with our groomers in developing snow features. Our terrain park features follow the NSAA Design Guidelines |

The Camp 10 Ski Patrol is the fastest growing patrol in the North Central Region
of the National Ski Patrol. Our members provide help assistance to any
guests plus we are active in our individual communities providing another
emergency care resource. We have patrollers qualified as instructors so we can
carry out our own training programs as well as bringing in guest instructors
from other patrols. The majority of our patrollers are from the
local communities but we also have patrollers who regularly come to Camp 10
from West Bend, Milwaukee, Madison, and Waukesha. Becoming a ski patroller
typically involves taking a minimum of two courses spread over a 6-month
period. The courses are presented so a fair amount can be done via Internet
from your home. If you are interested in more information on becoming a Camp 10
(NSP) Patroller contact us via the camp 10 e mail or talk to one of the patrollers
when at the ski area.

Visit our Ski School Finding great, qualified, and caring instructors isn’t the easiest thing but Camp 10 has been very very fortunate in gathering up a crew of top notch individuals to work with our customers. Our staff includes experts who grew up in the North woods as well as experts that taught at some of the big name ski areas in New England. Our staff includes teachers who do a great job with kids on the slopes as well as in the classrooms. Our staff includes snowboarders who have the know how-care-and patience. Whether you are new to skiing, an intermediate who wants to get better, an expert who needs help with a minor point, adventurers who wants to try snowboarding, or an aspiring racer – our team is here for you! |
Junior Racing Program Our Junior racing program has fun learning/doing
sessions every other Sunday afternoon. The program is geared to kids
4th through 10th grade with no additional charge to participate.
The kids can be at any level but they do need to know how to turn and stop under control in order to
participate. Our racing program falls under the general umbrella of the ski
school but has its own volunteer coach. Our coach has had a considerable racing experience and really enjoys
working with the Camp 10 kids. Actually everybody does! And you’ll see other instructors,
ski patrollers, and volunteer Moms
and Dads all getting involved with the kids. Its fun and the kids become
better skiers/snowboarders and have a blast doing it. And this year we are adding an all-electronic timing system so the kids can instantly see how they are doing. |

Groups Our group business has doubled in each of the years we have been open. We expect it to double again this winter. Our success has been based on some of the most affordable group pricing and service available.
